Safely through road traffic
How do I behave properly in road traffic? To teach children how to behave safely on bicycles, the Verkehrswacht / Jugendverkehrsschule regularly conducts bicycle training sessions with elementary school students. To reinforce this, the K&L publishing house, together with Verkehrswacht Jülich e.V., has published a new child-friendly coloring and workbook with digital content and learning success checks. We think: This is a good thing!
Practicing for emergencies
Last week, there was a lot going on at our test track in Aldenhoven: The fire departments of Eschweiler, Stolberg and Alsdorf, together with the team from the Aldenhoven Testing Center, trained operational exercises in the field of technical assistance at various locations on our site. This was done for a so-called B1 training with instructor David Roth.
Keeping the lane
At the Aldenhoven Testing Center, automatic lane keeping systems (ALKS) were tested and evaluated by BASt in cooperation with fka GmbH in various test scenarios. This was done as part of the HEADSTART project (Harmonised European Solutions for Testing Automated Road Transport), An EU-funded project that aims to define test and validation procedures for connected and automated driving functions.
