On the weekend of June 28 and 29, 2025, nine riders took the opportunity to attack existing world records on their recumbent bikes at the Aldenhoven Testing Center. A new edition of the successful events from 2023 and 2024, at which several world records were broken.
DropLimits organized the record-breaking weekend - with significant support from Human Powered Vehicles Deutschland e.V. in its 40th anniversary year. Daniel Löw, Julian Kraft, Matthias König, Simon Löw, André Fischer, Christoph Rindlisbacher, Fritz Horsthemke, Jan Kranczoch, Melchior Poppe, Ruben Schütze, Stefan Hegger and Susanne Sailer attempted to set new world records in the 6, 12 and 24-hour categories.
André Fischer, Jan Kranczoch, Susanne Sailer and Melchior Poppe - the last two in the over 50 category - rode on an unclad recumbent bike, while the remaining rides were on so-called velomobiles. Stefan Hegger and Fritz Horsthemke competed in the Ü60 category, all of which were powered purely by muscle power!
The event ended with several records for the four-man relay team and the following individual riders:
- Julian Kraft velomobile: 4000 m, 3 min 24 sec, Ø 70.59 km/h,
- Christoph Rindlisbacher fully clad:
- 12 h, 737.61 km, Ø 61.47 km/h
