Normally, motorized vehicles for the mobility of the future are tested or events are held on the test track in Aldenhoven. On Saturday, 24.05.2025, however, it was all about muscle power and speed in the saddle: with 91 pre-registrations, the response to the third edition of the cycling disciplines at the Aldenhoven Testing Center was, as always, very good. The weather this year was not ideal, with 15 degrees and strong winds on the main straight, but it didn't stop the best times being achieved.
A total of 46 people completed the 20 km, 13 people the 10 km, 5 people the 5 km and 66 people the 200 m sprint distance on the Test Center's oval track. The fastest woman over 20 km was Stefanie Strämke in 41:16 min and the fastest man was Thomas Schaaf in 29:30 min. Hannah Lövenich and Thomas Schaaf won the 200 m sprints with times of 13.5 sec and 11.3 sec, congratulations! The third edition of the cycling special for the German sports badge at the test site in Aldenhoven was therefore also a complete success. Many thanks to all participants, testers, helpers and organizers.
