Hydrogen is considered one of the energy sources that can make a significant contribution to the decarbonization of transportation. This technology offers particularly promising prospects for commercial vehicles.
At the Aldenhoven Testing Center, we create the conditions necessary to test such technologies under real-world conditions. Most recently, we collaborated with a partner boasting over 160 years of tradition: DEUTZ AG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative powertrain systems. Tests were conducted at our facility with a hydrogen-powered truck. The focus was on practical testing of the technology under realistic conditions. With its varied routes and test areas, the test site offers a wide range of opportunities to specifically examine vehicles and powertrain systems. This allows for the testing of driving behavior, the powertrain, and the interaction of the various systems under controlled conditions.
A key aspect of hydrogen vehicles is refueling. For testing purposes, a mobile refueling station can therefore be flexibly booked through us as needed. We collaborate with industry partners on this. Together, we aim to further develop technologies and accelerate the path to practical application.
