Every year, we actively support road safety education for elementary school children. An important part of this is the coloring and workbook on cycling training, which helps children to ride their bikes safely in traffic. To teach children how to behave safely on a bicycle, the traffic safety association/youth traffic school regularly conducts cycling training courses for primary school children. During these courses, pupils learn important rules for road traffic, practice correct behavior on a bicycle, and develop an awareness of traffic safety at an early age.
To reinforce what they have learned, the Verkehrswacht Jülich e. V. has developed a child-friendly coloring and activity book for bicycle training. It combines playful exercises with digital content and a learning success check. This allows children to deepen their knowledge of bicycle safety and traffic rules.
Thanks to the support of many regional companies – including ours – the books can be distributed free of charge to primary school children free of charge. We are very happy to support this commitment to road safety and safe routes to school.
Our contribution to road safety at our test site: driver safety training for various vehicles and target groups at the Aldenhoven Testing Center. Here, they practice realistic hazardous situations such as emergency braking, evasive maneuvers, and driving in wet and slippery conditions. The aim is to recognize risks early on and improve their own driving behavior.
The training includes practicing the following situations, among others:
- Emergency braking on different road surfaces
- Swerving to avoid sudden obstacles
- Driving behavior in wet or slippery conditions
- Safety awareness in road traffic
With practical exercises, we strengthen the driving skills and road safety of professional drivers.
Safe on the road – for young and old!
