At the end of September, a truck safety training course was held with 22 participants and trucks provided by the companies. BBG Gesellschaft für betriebliche Beratung und Betreuung mbH organized the training for five ASD member companies.

The participating companies were:

• Colling Transporte GmbH & Co. KG
• Transporte Conrads GmbH
• Mallorca – Express Transporte Logistik
• Gebr. Schmitz Transporte GmbH
• Green Line Logistik und Handelsgesellschaft mbH

The braking test track, vehicle dynamics area, and handling track were booked on our premises. The safety training was conducted by two DVR trainers.

The participants were enthusiastic:

• Harald from Oidtweiler: I've been driving for so long and didn't even know my truck could do that.
• Helmut from Erkelenz: ...here you can really push yourself to your limits.
• Thorsten from Neunkirchen-Saar: I came here with a full load on purpose. I thought I would have the longest braking distance of all. I never would have thought that the technology was so good. I always ended up in the middle of the pack, even though almost all of my colleagues were driving empty trucks. I can only recommend this to everyone.
• Olaf from Geilenkirchen: Finally, a module training course that doesn't take place in a classroom. The learning success here is much greater than just sitting in theory.
