Since the beginning of this year, motor journalist Alexander Bloch is using our tracks for “BLOCH TESTET”, his Youtube series for vehicle tests. Thanks to its versatile track elements, the site offers ideal conditions for objective driving tests. And it’s not just automakers and research institutes that use the test facility. Well-known automotive journalists and TV production teams also regularly make use of our professional test track. With a total of 12 track sections, virtually all everyday traffic situations can be simulated safely, reproducibly, and under controlled conditions at the Aldenhoven Testing Center. Ideal conditions for manufacturers, suppliers, research institutions, development service providers – and film production.

Each track section was specifically designed for different testing requirements, e.g.:

  • Autobahn – ideal for high-speed driving and driver-assistance systems in intercity traffic.
  • Breaking test track – water-sprinkled asphalt and tile surfaces enable precise braking and µ-split tests.
  • Handling Track – challenging combinations of curves with variable track layout and a 1-g dip.
  • Hill Section – gradients of up to 30 percent enable start-up and traction tests under a wide variety of conditions.
  • Oval circuit – approximately 2 kilometers long with steep curves for constant high-speed driving.
  • Rough road – various road surfaces such as cobblestones, rough asphalt, or sawtooth profiles simulate real-world conditions.
  • Urban environment – intersections, roundabouts, crosswalks, parking areas, and traffic lights realistically replicate urban traffic situations.
  • Vehicle dynamics area – can be used for motorcycle, car and truck driving tests up to 10 t axle load

In addition to road tests, companies benefit from the infrastructure for connected mobility, V2X communication, and extensive opportunities for automated and autonomous driving.
